Sheriffs' Eviction

The IllinoisAssociationofForeclosurePreventionProfessionals.org  was created to help homeowners in distress.    It came to the attention of the founders early in 2006, with the beginning of what is now the foreclosure epidemic, that homeowners in distress were not only financially distressed, but also emotionally distressed.

The purpose of creating this website was to educate homeowners in distress as to the Illinois foreclosure process and the possible remedies available to the homeowner so that they would be able to understand and make educated decisions concerning their situation.     The founders also understood, from personal experience, that homeowners in financial distress were embarrassed, distraught and emotionally drained from the process with no place to turn for help.    The goals set out in the creation of  the website were to educate the distressed homeowner to the foreclosure process, relax the stress and drain on the distressed family, create a plan of defense and aid the distressed homeowner through that plan to a successful conclusion.

There is inadequate help for homeowners in distress in our society.    Distressed homeowners cannot usually afford an attorney.

Members of the IllinoisAssociationofForeclosurePreventionProfessionals.org website take the distressed homeowners plight very seriously and not only will work feverously to get a resolution to the homeowners mortgage situation, but through education and conversation, will relax the stress between the members of the distressed family helping them to move forward with their life regardless of the outcome of the mortgage.

   We stress the importance of not giving up, saving money and maintaining the family structure.    By helping the distressed homeowner in creating a plan, we help them see that this is not the end of their life.    We show the importance of saving money and budgeting to;

1.  reinstate their mortgage

2.  prove to the bank that they can make the payment

3.  have a token down payment available for a work-out agreement
     with their mortgage company

4.  have the money to move to another home if a work-out is not
     achievable

By educating the distressed homeowner on the foreclosure process, they are no longer in the dark as to what will happen next and they understand the time line of foreclosure.

By working with the distressed homeowner on a plan of action, the homeowner no longer feels alone and abandoned, and they have someone they can reach out to for support at any time.   Offering support, both moral and conversational, will help many families live through the foreclosure process, find some peace to rest at night and move forward with their lives while maintaining the family structure.

The members of  IllinoisAssociationofForeclosurePreventionProfessionals.org would like nothing more than to help every distressed homeowner keep their home, and will do everything within their scope of capabilities to accomplish that.    However, there are some homeowners that cannot afford, for one reason or another beyond the homeowners control, to keep their home.    The support and encouragement given to these homeowners by IllinoisAssociationofForeclosurePreventionProfessionals.org  members has helped them to move on without allowing themselves to feel that they are failures in life.   The experience and compassion of  the member mitigation companies of  IllinoisAssociationofForeclosurePreventionProfessionals.org are packed with personal concern and professionalism at every level.

As soon as you request information and/or assistance, a member mitigation company consultant will contact you to answer your questions and/or start the mitigation process with you.

Since early childhood, you have been trained and educated by your family, friends, and schools to learn, get a job, find your soul mate, buy a house with a white picket fence, have 2.3 children, a dog, retire from your job after 20 years of service with a gold watch, and a retirement package you never understood from day one.

That is a great conceptbut it only works for a very small percentage of our population.

The truth is…

No matter what your education

No matter if you find your soul mate

No matter what job you take

No matter what home you buy

NO ONE has prepared you for what to do when something goes wrong.

The Banks and Mortgage Companies have a staff of lawyers working for them full time to protect their rights. Unfortunately, in your current situation, you may not be able to afford an attorney to explain your rights, let alone represent you in protecting your rights.

When you're in foreclosure, there is a risk of being taken advantage by investors, attorney's, mortgage brokers, realtors and bad information from relatives and close friends who do not have your best interest at heart.

Some of these people in business often deliver only broken promises, worthless guarantees, false advertising, and numerous varieties of scams and rip-offs.

It’s very important to find ethical people within these various categories. Ethical people do exist.
