Questions To Ask A Credit Repair Company

  1. Do you guarantee your service? NOTE: No credit repair service, by law, can guarantee a specific outcome for using their services. They also cannot give you a timeframe in which your scores will go up.

  2. Is your credit repair service legal? A credit repair company or attorney who is in the practice of providing credit repair must follow the Credit Repair Organization Act (CROA). NOTE: To verify if a company is in compliance with this Act, go to this web link

  3. How do I know your service is working?

  4. What credit agency reports will you use in getting my case repaired? NOTE: The three widely accepted credit bureaus are Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax, 

  5. When do I pay your fee for your service? NOTE: According to the Credit Repair Organization Act (CROA) you can only be charged after the Services have been rendered. 

  6. Can I cancel your service at any time?

  7. Will I be able to speak to a live person about my case?

  8. Is there a customer service department where I can speak to a live person?

  9. Is a 'new credit identity' or do you perform
    'file segregation' a part of the services you offer?
    The answer should be a resounding, NO!!!!
